Protected Landscapes

Natural landscapes are home to 99% of the precious biodiversity here on Earth and are in critical need of support TODAY as the global population of humans and animals continues to rise. Particularly, the landscapes in this section represent some of (in my humble belief) the richest and most fertile land suitable for agro-ecological and experimental agriculture in the United States, because they are already safe habitats for a large array of plant species and wild animals. These lands also depict a view into present and historical sites for American Indians. (Photos in this section have been accumulated primarily from protected lands in the states of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Washington State, Hawai'i, Michigan, and New Hampshire)... and while these locations are typically proximal to more rural communities than urban, please also note that these regions attract a notably large group of urban and sub-urban visitors every year during the peak summer-tourism season and generate tremendous federal and state income.
